We are kadawittfeldarchitektur. The interdisciplinary approach of our work, linking architecture, interior and product design on the one hand and at the interface of town planning and urban projects on the other hand, reflects the full range of our creative output.
kadawittfeldarchitektur develops added value space. We create architecture with added value space for living, communication and work environments. In the way we deal with volumes, materials, structures and functions, we strive to integrate our schemes into their surroundings with the objective of creating contemporary and sustainable architecture and meeting the needs of both the users and the general public.
kadawittfeldarchitektur builds. Projects like the main railway station in Salzburg/AT, the headquarters of the AachenMünchener insurance company in Aachen/DE, the Adidas Laces building in Herzogenaurach/DE and the Brothers Grimm Museum in Kassel/DE are representative of our numerous projects in Germany and abroad.
kadawittfeldarchitektur is involved in architecture, interior design, town planning and urban projects. As architects, project managers, consultants and cooperation partners, we focus on all the associated design, communication and organisational tasks.
In addition, kadawittfeldarchitektur has established separate but integrated business units for specific fields:
kwbau focuses on the development of new builds and conversions with a focus on tendering, contracting, site inspection and supervision as well as quality, time and cost management.
kadawittfeldconsult offers consultancy services for the organisation and design of offices, including the performance of needs analyses and the execution of interior design projects.
The Brothers Grimm Museum Kassel
The Brothers Grimm Museum is located in a picturesque park on the slope of an area called Weinberg close to Kassel city centre where it blends into the gently undulating landscape. Old stone steps, wall fragments, planted terraces and lush vegetation contribute towards the special atmosphere of the park. The new museum continues the topography of the surroundings in an accessible roof landscape and thus provides the park with an open stairway that leads up to a terrace with a view across Kassel.
The new DFB with the DFB Academy Frankfurt A.M.
The football fields, sports facilities and new builds for the DFB with the DFB Academy are located on the former racecourse embedded in Frankfurt’s city forest. It is within this green surround that the mixture of structural components, sports fields, densely wooded areas form a shared campus. The required space, including administrative areas, a media centre, depot and the academy, is arranged in several blocks that are all set below a single large roof structure.
Beethoven Concert Hall Bonn
The design for the festival venue adopts the characteristics of the landscaped plateau and makes use of the height difference to the Rhine promenade. The outcome is a tiered structure without any edges and corners. The contour lines incorporated in the building are continued outside in the form of steps leading down to the embankment. The interior is the polar opposite: the hall is sunk into the ground similar to an amphitheatre and arranged in the traditional vineyard style.
